I am looking for a rowing crew, either to join an existing one or to form a new one from scratch.
Professionally, I am a research scientist in the field of complex systems.
Over the last couple of years, I have been running in the Balkans, Italy, and Uzbekistan, in independent, self-organizing multiday ultramarathon-like projects, and I will continue with this kind of activity in the future. It was an integrated exploration of self, nature, and cultures. In particular, running in Tuscany, Italy, was followed by the charity campaign in collaboration with the Alliance of Cerebral Palsy and Polio of the Republic of Serbia.
With similar motives for exploration, I have recently discovered a new challenge that has emerged with ocean rowing. Particularly because I have a rowing experience, having actively trained for over 20 years in the rowing club. I believe that my so far experiences have shaped a suitable mindset, as well as the level of fitness, and made me ready to pursue this kind of adventure.

I am a super keen British Waterman who lives in Hong Kong.
I have been paddling/coaching outrigger canoe in endurance races for 7 years and have raced in the world championships in Hawaii, where my crew set the HK team record last year.
I have paddled all around the world and now want to push myself further and prove to myself I can achieve this goal which I have dreamt of for a long time.
I travelled the world for a few years and trekked in the Himalayas including Annapurna, Everest base camp, tracked wild tigers, paddled around Hong Kong marine border unsupported over 4 days. I'm mega comfortable in the sea and have paddled/dived all around the world including Hawaii, Tahiti, Thailand, Mexico, Red sea, Maldives, Phillipines, Malaysia etc etc.
I am a super determined, athletic, and capable waterman who gets on with everyone, and has zero quit in my personality. Always a can do attitude and always pulls my weight and love ABIT of banter. Good vibes only and I will get the job done!

I’m currently looking to join a crew and am excited to bring a mix of endurance, resilience, and team spirit to the boat.
Three years ago, I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, which left me completely paralysed and dependent on a ventilator for six months.
Recovering from that experience was the hardest challenge of my life, and it fundamentally reshaped my mindset. Learning to walk again—and rebuild every part of my strength—taught me not only patience and determination, but also the power of resilience, perspective, and purpose.
That journey is a huge part of what’s fuelling my desire to row across the Atlantic: to test my limits again, to live fully, and to honour how far I’ve come. In terms of adventure experience, I’m a long-distance runner and have completed several half marathons, which have taught me the importance of mental grit, structured training, and pushing through discomfort.
I’ve also lived for two months in a remote area of Indonesia without access to water, electricity, or plumbing—an experience that made me adaptable and mentally tough in challenging environments.
Professionally, I work in law, which demands focus, high performance under pressure, and long-term resilience—all qualities I believe will translate directly to ocean rowing.
In terms of what I can bring to the team:
- I’m confident on social media and comfortable sharing personal stories in a way that connects with people and builds support.
- I’ve successfully organised and run fundraising events for previous endurance races and would love to contribute creatively and practically to our campaign.
- I’m calm under pressure, thrive in team environments, and bring positivity even in the face of adversity.
This row is more than a physical challenge for me—it’s a statement of what’s possible, and I’m ready to give it everything I have, alongside teammates who are equally driven and passionate.

Previous adventure experience includes; the noman ocean rowing race from Barcelona-Ibiza (320km) that took 5 days. Cycling from Ireland's most southerly point to northerly point - 4 days. Climbed Ireland's 4 highest peaks in 24hours. Climbed Ireland highest peak 5 times consecutively in on day for charity. My reason for wanting to take part in an ocean row is to challenge myself to new extremes. I want to live a life full of adventure and without regrets. Rowing the Atlantic looks to be one of the most physically and psychologically demanding challenges on the planet and that really appeals to me. In my last adventures I have raised €8000 for various charities through social media campaigns. I would be more than happy to assist with funding campaigns. Personally, I am physically and financially ready to go so if there were other people in a similar position that would be great. Im easy going and happy to contribute in anyway I can to help the team.

I have rowed with Cambridge and Oxford colleges for 6 years as well as having trained with the OUWBC (Oxford university women’s boat club). I can scull moderately well but I am a highly trained sweep rower. I have always sat at stroke or 6 seat.
I was brought up adventuring on Canada’s east coast. I have done multiple long thru-hikes (unsupported) in Canada. I can handle myself in high stress situations with wildlife like grizzlies for example, or when I had hypothermia, when things break and they need to be fixed on the spot, etc. I have gone hiking and camping in Svalbard in the winter. I am good to have around when things go wrong. I will be hiking the PCT alone this year. I am very fit. I cycled and hiked alone around Iceland two years ago, battling gale force winds, snow, sleet, etc and camping the whole way.
I want to do an ocean row because it is the ultimate challenge. I want to have that experience with crewmates, to have that time to reflect on myself and my path, to go through that intense mental and physical journey. I want to have the ultimate adventure and to see the ocean in a way I’ve never seen before and to make lasting friendships. I want to learn the skills needed to row an ocean because I want to attempt the trip solo one day. I want to learn and I want to prove myself.
I can bring my extensive rowing experience to the crew, my brains, my cool head in a crisis, my handiness, my outdoors instincts, my strength. I am a wildlife photographer in my spare time (seabirds and sea creatures - can provide photo proof) and I am good with media. I have done small scale fundraising before for conservation initiatives, but I am very good at it. I am cheerful and I love to sing. I am about to finish my PhD at Oxford and if I got a place on a crew for 2023, I could spend time going to classes for boat fixing, navigation, anything needed really. I just am extremely keen to contribute and to learn.
